Faceless

Happen to read a story long time back in Reader's Digest 'Desert Rose'.

What defines me?
Where are my beginnings?
What will the end be?

Born undesired
Living uninspired
To die as He conspired

I want love and respect
I demand equality and rights
I beg for a life without fear ..

    1. Yeah, but mostly things are kept under covers. 'Desert Rose' was the story that brought this practice into picture ..

  5. The first time I had read about the going-ons, I had nightmares for days. It doesn't only induce sympathy and disgust, but also an inexplicable fear.

Your lines, beautifully relate a sad and ghastly truth.

    1. Yes, it induces a fear for the person as well as yourself. Sometimes I end up thanking God that I don't have to go through all this simply because I was born on the right side of the globe.. but then its no one's fault that they did .. awareness is one solution which can help us counter this situation..
